Despite this, the Brezza is the exception in a few places and the majority of Maruti models are available within three months of booking.
Maruti Suzuki recently in June 2022 acknowledged that it had 3.15 lakh backlog orders. After a few months, the number has steadily risen and is now getting close to 4 lakh. This figure has undoubtedly increased as a result of several material shortages, worldwide supply disruptions, and new product introductions.
The rising number of unfulfilled orders received a boost from the increasing demands for the soon-to-be-released Grand Vitara and the recently-launched second-generation Brezza. A little over 1.25 lakh of the roughly four lakh pending orders—or 33%—are for Maruti’s CNG portfolio.
